Angry Republican/Loving American

 Bush's great folley(NOT)

Alot of people think that Bush made a mistake when we went into Iraq. Trully he did. The mistake was not in going in, but allowing the media in. The media who has no other agenda but to sell the news. They do not care about the truth. They only care about what they think the masses here want to hear. Most people here in America do not have a grasp about war. They do not understand the people we are dealling with there in Iraq. the was one of the things that caused vietnam to go in the tank. Yea we made alot of mistakes in vietnam, but it was made worst by a bunch of reporters reporting things that they have no idea about.

These people think that we live in a perfect world. In a perfect world, you do not have children that are trained at birth to hate. They don't strap bombs and grenades to themselfs to blow you up. We do not live in a perfect world. we never have.

We still have that problem going on today. This is war. We do not need a bunch of middleclass idiots that do not understand war undermining what we are trying to do. All they are doing is adding more fuel to our enimies.

 THE GREAT

This is just a few words about the greatest President that we as a country have ever had. He was a man that stood on his own two feet. He said what he wanted to when and how he ment to. He was a man that faced a lot of turmoil in his presidency. Alot of people looked up to him.

He is a man that our current President emulates. President Bush, when he leaves office, I feel will be known as a man and statesman like no other except this man. By now you probally know who I am talking about.

Ronald Reagan took office when I was 6 years old. He set the standard of what I thought a President should act like, look like, and think like. He dressed and carried himself like a person that was sure of themself. He did what he thought he should have done. He Macromanaged, not micromanaged.

It may be that I look up to him cause I was raised with him as President, but I have judged the last 3 presidents by what I saw growing up. The other two while great in their own ways, have never stacked up or passed the test. Honestly, there probally will not ever be another president as great as he, but time will tell.

 The war

I'm going to be real nice. I don't like to be mean. From my other two posts, you will realize that I am a conservative. I believe in God, family, and country. In that order.

This post is for all those that think that we should have stayed away from Iraq. Maybe we should have----NOT----left saddam in power. Maybe we should have----NOT----gotten out by now.

let me explain. Take away the claim of the wmd's, which I still believe are or were there, you still have a Tyrant that should have been taken out in 1991. He had done nothing short of thumb his nose at the rest of the world for the 12 years between the two wars. He openly supported terrorist org. that claimed to want utter distruction of the U.S. Yea we want a madman like that to have nuks. He openedly killed his own people for years, what makes you think he wouldn't let loose on us if he had the chance.

We have wonderful people over there in and out of uniform that are doing the best they possibly can, why are there people that won't let them do their job? I can understand the lose some people have had. The lost of fathers, sons, daughters. Stop disgracing their honor.

 SUPREME CHOICE

John Roberts, a man of integrity and morality. He has a hard life ahead of him. I feel that he will make alot of us mad at least once in the next few years. That will be a good thing. We don't need a hardcore republican in there. We don't need a hard core democrat.Yes, Jon Roberts is a republican. Yes he is conservative. But he is a man that will judge from the Law, and not his feelings. That is a hard thing to do sometimes. That means that there will be times that he has to rule against what he feel is right for what is the law. I only hope that enough Americans understand, when he rules against them, that it is not politics, but what he has to do.

 No blame

Where is the blame? Everybody is pointing fingers. Why not blame the water. That is what flooded New Orleans. Or maybe let's file a brief in court against the rain. Sounds a little stupid, huh.

Why blame the President? I know, he is the one that told them not yo use the school buses. Or maybe he is the one that said to leave the generators in the basement of the Dome.

No the President is not to blame. His administration is not to blame. I really want to blame the mayor and the governor, but they really aint to blame. How long has it been known that the levies needed fortified. that goes beyond the current administration. Local leaders, past and present, has failed to heed the warnings. The city had largely dodged the big one for years. Every time that one missed them, brought the catostrophic event close to reality. Every year, wear and tear tore away at the levies. The levies, built to withstand a category 3 hurricane, got weaker every year.

So who is to blame? What about the people? They live 10 feet below sealevel. They expect someone else to keep them safe. I don't want to risk the safety of my family wityh someone else to protect us. I let God protect me.

No, the people are not to blame. Neither are the politicians. No, it was just the weather. We can all sit back, weeks after the fact and say why we didn't do this, didn't do that, but the bottom line is they didn't do it. What if they had of done this or that, and we still ended up with the same situation? We would come up with some other way to blame someone else. Now is not the time to sit back and blame others. Now is the time to get our hands dirty, jump in, and fix what is now broke. Pick the pieces up later. Then we can discuss what we need to deo different.
