Angry Republican/Loving American

A letter to Seth and beyond

I wrote this to Seth,

Hello. Seth, I'm just now able to get back to you. Alot of work, and with the kids and the wife pregnant, just don't have much free time. You asked a valid question. Who with any integrety or consequence has said to embrace our enemies? Let's start slowly. John Kerry did at least on four different occasions during his campaign. It just depended on which side of the bed he woke up on. Let's not forget Howard Dean. I know, what kind of power does this man have. I don't know, he was just voted in as the head of the democrat national leader. Ouch. Some integrity. Oh, I almost forgot, the great Senator Kennedy. He still is shouting that out of at least one side of his mouth. Is that the same side that he still claims to be innocent of raping and killing that women in the early 80's.

Then there is Hillary Clinton. At the start she was screaming that. During the election cycle she staid firm on that. But as soon as she made it clear she would probally run for president in 08, she reversed her stance on everything from the war effort to gay marriage to taxation. Nice women of integrety. Scary thing is she will probally win because you democrats have such short memory. Sorry so late in coming hope to hear from you again.

And now, I have to say that I'm slowly getting dissapointed in our president. No, I'm still support him and still think he was the best one for the job, but here of late he has done some things that I totally don't agree with. This Sea Port thing. Handing the security of six of our biggest sea ports to the UAE is about the biggest moronic thing I've ever heard of. (Yes to those that believe in being grammatically corect, i meant to say that).

I do not believe our president has a grasp on the border. Now he is willing to hand our security over to people that can't even protect their own from terrorist. How are they going to stop anybody. I feel we have been doing a real good job since 9/11 in keeping out terror, but now we are handing them a door. Yes , Seth, If you are reading this, let me tell you, I'm an American. I'm a devout republican. But there are things on both sides of the issues, both sides of the aisle, that are doing things I do not like. But i will agree with the "christian right", alot quicker than I will an abortionist or a gay activist. Sorry.

 Living life

Lately, I really have been doing some thinking. I've been listlening to alot of what is going on in this country, and quite frankly, I wonder where we are going. Just where are we going in this world? Every one seems to have an opinion on this subject.

Some say we are heading in the wrong direction, that we need to embrace our enemies. That we should look out for our liberties, which they say are more important than our security. Yes, our security is very important. But so are our freedom. one really needs to stop and look at the whole issue, not just part of it.

People seem to lump this into one complete issue. But, you really have to take it one piece at a time. For instance. I completely agree with the wiretapping. I believe that it does serve a purpose. I believe that it doesn't enfringe on my rights and freedoms. How can it? You can't tell me that you have the right to commit terrorist activities. That is what the wiretapping is meant to do.

On the other hand, You have the national ID. No thankyou you. That does enfringe on many of our rights. Including the rights of the states to govern themselves. No I don't like it, and am upset that the president actually signed this into affect.

Life is not all black and white, republican and democrat, liberal or conservative. Live a little and realize that it isn't a bad thing to go against the grain.

 Without words, total loss

I have been sick lately, as a matter of fact, just broke down and went to the doctor. Between that, and being totally busy, I really havn't had much time to read the news or watch. So the other day, I tuned in to see what is going on. With all the mudslinging going on, I instantly realized what is going on. Mid-term elections.

I'm at a loss for words. It seems that people on both sides of the aisle have nothing better to do with the "hard-earned" money we pay them then to look for dirt on the opposite side. I am really displeased with this.

It makes me sick with both parties. A few years ago, a man named Steve Largent ran for governor here in Oklahoma. There were three men in the race. and the other 2 Did nothing but throw dirt at each other and Largent. The only dirt Largent threw in the entire campaign was to publicly apologize for how dirty the campaign was. He barely lost, but I wish there were a few more decent men like him. I wouldn't care what was behind their name.

 The news is distressing

I have finally heard what Pat Robertson has been up to. Seen it on the news and listlened to on the radio. And of course on the Drudgereport. i knew the man was off his rocker, but comeon!!! Pat, please stop!!!

He is not the spokesperson for us true christians. I don't even know what he is thinking half of the time. First his comments about Ariel Sharon, then he is trying to put a theme park on the shores of Galilee. Yes that is right. He has finally gone off the deepend. I want people to know that Pat does not voice the true fellings of true believers. We just want him to shut up. Either that or to at least stop pretending.

It is people like him that are giving us the bad names. Those supposed Ministers of the word, are only money hungary fools, and the fact that they back they back the Republican Party makes it even worse. Most of them are nothing more than scam artists, and I wish that they would just go away. Leave well enough alone. The GOP would do themselves a big favor if they just put some distance between them and these scam artists. it is only making things worse. As long as these people continue to back the GOP, we will continue to look like a pack of fools.
